Vera Kavura is from Kyiv, Ukraine. She is currently an associated artist of Unison Colours.
Vera started painting when she was a child and graduated from art school.
At university here majors were economics and mathematics, but painting always followed her
and finally took her over completely. Her grandfather was an artist and he inspired her with his works although not many of them have survived.
Vera discovered pastel as her prime medium only in 2017. Her favourite subjects are flowers. She always compiles all bouquets by herself, and she works only with live flowers during daytime. That helps her to catch the colour and brightness of nature. She has developed her own technique which helps to get to the result without making a drawing, but rather to work with colours and shapes.
