Marie-France Oosterhof was born into a family as cosmopolitan as it was creative, and after a fulfilling life as a doctor in Paris, she decided to dedicate herself to painting. She succumbed to the call of the ocean shores, and now lives in Pornichet, which she has visited for so long.
Marie-France studied pastel at the school of la Société des Pastellistes de France with
David Hervelin, but also with Tony Allain in New Zealand and the United Kingdom
as well as oil painting at the Belgian school of Béatrice Cols.
She gives courses and leads workshops in France and abroad. Her paintings are in private collections around the world.
Marie-France Oosterhof has published three books in French and English, "The
colours of taste" "Beautiful Pears" and "Stories of Fish in the Kitchen",
containing her own recipes illustrated with her paintings.
Marie-France is a signature member of the PastelGuild of Europe.
