Dorothea Schulz PGE - our judge for the September Still life GET DUSTY

About myself:

'I have been a member of the PastelGuild of Europe PGE since 2011 and have become chair of the PGE board in 2015. I am a member of several European pastel societies and an associate member of the Pastel Society of America PSA.

I am German by birth but have been living in Belgium since 1996. I have been drawing and painting since my childhood and started using pastel in my teens. From 2007 to 2011, I studied drawing at the local art school where I rediscovered pastel as an artist medium. I signed up for pastel workshops in Europe and the US and have studied with several eminent American pastel artists, among them Terri Ford, Sally Strand, Karen Margulis, Cuong Nguyen and Alain Picard.

 Since 2013 I had six solo exhibitions in and around Brussels. I have participated in numerous international pastel exhibitions in Europe, China, Canada and the US.

I paint different subjects, but still lifes are my favourite. I am looking forward to judging this GET DUSTY'.
